Without a doubt, my greatest heroine. I was channel surfing on a sleepless night, and came across a silent movie called “The Passion of Joan of Arc“. I was not prepared for such a powerful movie. Thus began my obsession with all things Joan.
In Joan’s courageous struggle to overcome the fear and ignorance of her time, she lost the battle for her life, but was victorious in the war for her soul. Over 500 years after her death at the stake, the church that silenced her declared her a saint.
